Gretsch G6131SMY Mk I - Malcolm Young Signature

Rare First Edition Malcolm Young signature guitar featuring a stripped-back single cutaway chambered Firebird body with single humbucker & wraparound bridge based on Malcolm's modified (gutted) Firebird where all that remained was two knobs and a single pickup in the bridge.

Super comfortable and slender mahogany neck with a bound rosewood fingerboard. Neo-classic thumbnail inlays, a zero-fret and a 1 11/16” nut. Bound headstock with sealed Gretsch tuners, 24.6” scale length.

Controls for master volume and master tone, the G6131SMY is the no-bull Gretsch for those about to rock.

Made in Japan.

TV Jones pickup & low friction Bourns pots have been installed. Jack has been replaced at some point. Includes original grey Gretsch case.
