'83 Fender '62 Reissue Precision Bass - Fullerton Factory 🇺🇸
Early 1983 (body dates Jan 19 1983!) Fullterton Reissue of the '62 P-Bass. These were the first vintage reissues that Fender made after years of modifying (and butchering..) the original design. Featuring a lightweight Alder body finished in 3-tone Nitro just like the original, that iconic slim C '60s neck profile with rosewood fingerboard and reverse tuners. Fantastic 3-dimensional celluloid guard with split-coil pickup, flat top knobs and thumb rest.
An absolute classic that predates the AVRI series, out performs a Custom Shop and has all of the mojo of a vintage bass (because it is) without the price tag. Made in the Fullerton Factory in California, just like the original '60s ones.
Includes SKB case.
Missing third strap button, pickguard screws and chrome ashtray covers & the original bridge has been replaced with a higher mass type which gives it plenty of sustain and growl.
Setup with Fender flats and a Jamerson action for the Motown thing. Awesome player!
