'85 Alvarez 5029 Ash - 'Festival' Dreadnought - Made in Japan

1980s Alvarez dreadnought with sunken grain Ash body, bound rosewood fingerboard with intricate & ornate inlays offering a very earthy, woody tone. Essentially D-18 specs (25.5" scale length) but Ash instead of mahogany and spruce which offers fantastic projection & warmth. Featuring brass nut and saddles for that extra bit of bling! Made in Japan.

Tuners have been upgraded to Grover kidney buttons. There has been an active pickup installed long ago with output socket however no longer functions. There has also been an extra support added inside the body at the neck join to support a battery pack for aforementioned pickup. Battery wiring has been affixed with cellotape inside the body.
