BOSS Dr. Rhythm DR-220A
The Dr Rhythm DR-220A is a budget digital drum machine featuring acoustic drum samples. The 220 is based off the DR-110, utilising the same LCD "matrix" display panel. It features 6 channels polyphony but some sounds are channel shared with restrictions so some cannot be played at the same time but in the words of Eno, limitations make us better creators. The Dr Rhythm is undoubtedly a drum machine on the simpler side of things however with enough idiosyncrasies to make it an interesting bit of kit, especially for a budget price.
Does not operate on battery, but works on a BOSS style power supply (not included).
