1972 - 1974 Fender Telecaster Custom - Sunburst
1972 original Telecaster Custom neck with later 1974 Fender body - Partscaster.
Original neck has been converted to 4 bolt to match body, crudely however much more stable than the original 3 bolt. Body has seen some nitro finish touch ups over poly however little checking is present.
Original jack (Switchcraft), tone pot (CTS), switch (DiMarzio), tuners (Gotoh-style) & nut (brass) have been replaced. Refretted at Real Guitars with vintage style frets in the 1990s; the neck has seen a refinish on the back and front but leaving the headstock face original which is showing lovely checking.
Bridge pickup appears to be original however Neck pickup is a 1990s Fender-branded single coil.
Neck is dated November 1972, from the first few months of the mighty Telecaster Custom!
