Khaen Jet - Bamboo Mouth Pipe

The khaen jet is a medium-sized variant of the traditional Lao mouth organ, known as the khene. It features 14 bamboo pipes arranged in two rows of seven. This configuration allows for a range of notes suitable for various musical styles, including traditional Lao and Isan (northeastern Thai) music. The instrument produces a distinctive, resonant sound characteristic of Southeast Asian free-reed aerophones.
