The humungous XXL is all about distortion – obese, megalithic, dynamic distortion. The XXL’s Warp control manipulates the structure and balance of odd and even harmonics, and influences the X-Factor: the ratio of odd and even harmonics relative to the dynamics of your instrument and your playing style. You can achieve a variety of results, even within the same setting, depending on the manner and force of your pick attack; Playing open and loose with Warp at max will yield a vintage fuzz tone. The same setting, when played in a tight, controlled manner, will yield more of a “woman tone.” With the XXL, it’s not just what you play, it’s how you play it.
