Vintage Rex AG6 1x8" Valve Combo
The Rex AG6 was manufactured by Lamberti Bros in Melbourne in the early 1960s. Designed by one of the company’s founders Frank Lamberti, a qualified radio technician who worked at Astor Radio for 10 years before going into business with his brother. This AG6 is an early production model which was never sold and has been in the family’s collection to this day. Lou Dallariva who worked for Lamberti Bros in the '70s was given the responsibility for the restoration and fitted new capacitors and resistors where needed, as well as new tubes and an 8” Celestion speaker. Powered by EL84 and 12AX7 tubes an providing around 6 watts of blistering single ended tone.
