Sputnik Modular Four-Tap Delay/Dual Crossfader

Sputnik Modular Four-Tap Delay/Dual Crossfader

The Sputnik Modular Four-Tap Delay / Dual Crossfader is a powerful time-based signal processor inspired by classic tape and BBD delays. It features a single delay line with four fixed taps—1x, 2x, 3x, and 4x delay times—each routed to its own output or into the dual crossfader section for creative blending and morphing. The delay time is CV-controllable and can range from short slapbacks to extended echo textures, ideal for rhythmic layering, karplus-strong synthesis, or evolving soundscapes.

The dual crossfader section allows for manual or CV-controlled interpolation between any two taps or external signals, making it not just a delay but a unique modulation and timbral sculpting tool. With feedback routing and optional external loop-in for processing the repeats, the module can self-oscillate, degrade beautifully, or generate complex spatial effects. Perfect for both traditional delay duties and left-field sonic experimentation.
