YAMAHA PSR-4600 Portatone Keyboard

The Yamaha PSR-4600 was the top dog of the early ’90s Portatone line, with a punchy 8-bit PCM drum section, multi-layered FM voices, and an onboard arranger. It’s got that unmistakable '90s home keyboard aura: DX-style electric pianos, slap bass, cheesy synth brass etc.

With 100 preset styles, velocity-sensitive keys, and individual volume sliders for different parts, it’s surprisingly hands-on for a home keyboard. There's also a programmable drum grid, MIDI I/O, and mic input with built-in reverb for singing along.
