Black finish examples carry the carved maple top over a mahogany body, delivering the warm sustain and midrange punch that define the model. The slim taper neck profile, bound rosewood fingerboard, and dual open-coil humbuckers give it a fast, aggressive edge that appealed to rock players through the 1990s and beyond. The Classic also featured period-inspired touches like aged inlays and vintage-style hardware, but with higher-output pickups than the traditional reissues.
