A digital drum machine from the mid-1980s, the Korg DDD-5 combines preset and programmable modes in a compact 7-pad layout. It was introduced in 1987 as a more accessible alternative to Korg’s DDD-1 line and covers basic drum programming and MIDI integration for its era. You get tune, decay and pan controls for each voice, roll and flam functions, and it fits easily into a vintage-digital setup without requiring sampling.
