This Dean Markley USA-made valve amp is a serious sleeper, offering huge value for a hand-built American tube combo. It delivers plenty of gain on the drive channel, while the clean channel stays clear and full, breaking up into warm low-gain crunch when pushed. There’s a natural, touch-responsive compression across the range that makes it feel great under the fingers. These amps earned a strong reputation when they were released and were used by well-known players like Andy Summers, Alex Lifeson and Eric Clapton, even if the brand never became a long-term heavyweight in the amp world. A lot of amp for the money, easily punching above its price point.
