JAM Pedals’ Rattler is an unabashed distortion monster, built with no compromises to capture the iconic tones of early ’80s ProCo RAT® pedals while pushing them further through extensive R&D. Designed to be exceptionally responsive to picking and fretting nuances, it delivers an open, dynamic feel reminiscent of a cranked overdriven tube amp. Its asymmetrical clipping circuit, carbon composition resistors, and the legendary LM308 chip—the true star of the design—combine to create a rich, expressive distortion that cuts through any rig, modern or vintage. The result is fat, creamy distortion with plenty of bite, courtesy of the devious snake itself.
