Roland PAD-8 Octapad

The Roland PAD-8 is an early MIDI percussion controller that helped redefine how drummers and electronic musicians interact with electronic sounds. With eight velocity-sensitive rubber pads and support for up to six external triggers, it lets you play drum machines, samplers and synths with sticks or hands, bringing real dynamics to MIDI gear that was often locked to rigid sequencing.

Each pad can be individually assigned note data, MIDI channel, sensitivity and velocity curve, allowing expressive playing rather than static triggering. Four onboard patch memories make it easy to switch configurations on the fly, while MIDI In and Out allow integration with larger rigs or even chaining multiple units.

Requires 9V power supply.
