At its core is an 8-bit sampled drum engine paired with analogue bass and solo synth voices, giving it a punchy digital rhythm section with warm, slightly gritty accompaniment tones. A built-in sequencer, programmable patterns and song chains make it surprisingly deep for its era, while the onboard organ and lush string ensemble run through a BBD chorus that delivers classic vintage shimmer. Separate outputs for drums and accompaniment make it easy to split sounds for recording or live rigs.
